Hi everyone! I hope you’re well💕….That’s it, there’s no crazy welcoming today 😌. I’m keeping things simple and yet I really should throw a bit more in so as to take up more of your time, you must want it to go faster since you clicked on this post! 😜. Well you’re in the right place because I can do better! I’ll start trying now 😂.
Some of you might be wondering why anybody should or would want for time to go fast but there is reasoning behind it! 💫 In the olden days (pre-corona) I’d wish for it so that family who were on their way to stay would get here sooner or perhaps if I myself was going somewhere exciting 🏞️.
Recently it’s been if I’m looking forward to something like that idea I shared in the post: how to start the new year properly! This involves always having a fun event to focus on, big or small. Another reason I’ve wished for time to do it’s thing is down to the fact that I’m limited with what I can currently do because of deteriorating health until points in the near future come along. I’ll yearn for those moments whilst trying my best to live in + enjoy the here and now because they’re admittedly essential for life in both the short and long term.
With all that’s going on in the world right now the most common reason to wish time away is going to be so that everything will get back to how it was (or as close as it can be), everyone has their reasons to feel this way and that must be respected. It’s not all negativity, you can productively & positively want for time to go fast ✨ and today I’m going to share some ideas for how you can make it happen! Let’s go……..🚥
Try not to look at the clock! ⏰
It’s a tricky habit to crack but it won’t make time move forward anymore than it already is (we’ve all learnt the hard way 😂). I’m worst for this at night when I can’t sleep 🙈💤. My watch calls to me and I wish for it to speed up but thinking about it and looking over at it do nothing in actually helping me go to sleep!….that doesn’t stop me but it really should. To end up in dreamland I need to sort out the reason behind why I cannot doze off and convince myself I’ll be grateful for that shut eye tomorrow 😴😂. The lesson here is that continuously checking in on time itself isn’t the answer (even when it’s said like that I wonder why I ever think it is the answer! 🤔). The best thing to do is anything but!
Appreciate the moment! 🍃
Don’t wish this moment away (might be a contradiction hidden in there 🤔😂) appreciate the moment you’re in and maybe even question why you want time to go fast! It could be because of lockdown/the pandemic in general and wishing for it all to end but should that truly be a reason to let this precious time go by? ✨
These are tough days but when things start to return to a semblance of normality you may find yourself wanting for what you’ve got right now (Time to reflect, learn about yourself and consider where you wanna be). What will you say to your future self then? 😲 “Oh you don’t want that” 😲…….Will there be any getting through to that future self who simply wants what they can no longer have??
Not the worry but what this experience has taught you! 😂 Don’t immediately write this point off and think there’s nothing to appreciate because if anything, the pandemic has made us realize what we had all along and brought about a whole lot more to reflect upon 🙌.
It’s happened in everybody because things are so different and you can’t not be impacted by that. Just like you might wish for days of the past, the way this world works you’ll be doing the same about something regarding the here and now in the future (life is strange like that 😂) so try to appreciate something going on in your life if not life itself! I go up and down out of moods but in this exact moment, I’m grateful that nature can be brought indoors because it’s grounded my mind and helped me reconnect with what it can be tough to get out to! 🌱
Do something you enjoy! 🎯
What better way to spend your time than by doing something you love and enjoy!? ✍️ Not only is it good to do stuff like that anyway but it makes for a great distraction as well and a productive one at that 😅😂. Also, If you’re not there yet and are actually heading in the direction of something you’ll enjoy then try to simply enjoy THIS moment of brief before where that is yet to happen! (There’s a lot of enjoyment going on here 😌😂). Live in the moment with it and then afterwards you hopefully won’t have any regret!
Plan out what is to come 📝
I always lose track of time when I’m planning/getting ready for something! Time seems to want it to be over and done with at that point so it passes by like nothing else!…. especially when I really could do with more of it to avoid oncoming stressful situations 😌⚡ (It should be an affirmation that time is our friend because I’m beginning to think it’s not and I really need to counteract the thought! 😂).
Do you want for the hours to go by because you’re looking forward to something? Are there any last minute tasks you need to do beforehand? By all means, do them if you’re up to it! Must you get together any bits and pieces so that the whole thing runs more smoothly? Perhaps you should implement some self care so that you’re prepared for what is to come? 💪. Can’t be without a good to-do list is what I say! 😂✨
Don’t forget yourself in the process, you’re doing this for you and if it’s not beneficial to your well-being then frankly it’s not worth a fragment of your attention! It’s important to check in on why you want for things to go a particular way and take care of your best interests rationally, if only because I told you to do so 😜. Oh ok, this just in: do it because it’s good for you! ✨📰😂
And there we have it! Thank you for reading! 😉 If all else fails, read my posts….I have a habit of stealing time from you 😏😂. In a sense it does help to look at things differently and like I mentioned above acknowledge why you wish for time to go by fast. You might end up realizing it’s not what you want at all! (But yeah, I hope this post helps in some way 😝). That’s me off yet again 😔 But you can’t say I don’t come back! 🤣 Enjoy the rest of your day and I’ll see you soon! ✨💞
