Hello guys!
I was going about my day on the 1st of March and then a question hit me: When does Winter end? π€ I googled it and when the 20th of March shined back in my face I had a half mood. One side of me was happy to see the back of the tumultuous rainy season and the other spiralled into a mini meltdown at the fact that I had for the most part forgotten about my Winter Bucket List.
There was a time when the weather was affecting my mood and then more recently I’ve come to realize just how much it all brings on painful flare-ups in my legs π so I honestly can’t wait to see a full on end to it but until then I’m saying goodbye to the idea of it first π Here is what I had to work with and how I did π¬:
Go to a Christmas market
I went to the Wild Lights at Dublin Zoo and there was a Christmas market there that I had a nosy around. It was full of little wooden Santa’s and festive trinkets and really got me in the mood for the big day (this was the day before I realized I had the flu so being out in the cold didn’t help but I was none the wiser at the time π). Nothing stood out for me so aside from purchasing a few items in the Dublin Zoo merch store I left empty handed (cause I stuffed what I got in my bag instead! π).
Try/do new things + make memories
Snippets of memories are floating through my mind right now π Many are of a festive theme π When I was well in Winter I visited new places, had fun with friends, family and met new people (especially through joining a creative writers group). I got out of my comfort zone and took time to notice that I had done so which felt INCREDIBLE π« In this time I was told about a ukulele group that I might be joining too (despite not playing in ages!) which should be heaps of fun if I can bring myself to go πΆ (my comfort zone is closing in on me again π).
Tidy my room (for real this time!)
I made a great start but then things started to happen and I let it fall apart π I’m getting to a better place so I know that accomplishing this goal isn’t far off though.
See a pantomime/theatre play
Ahhh well…This idea went in one ear and out the other π I have a couple of events coming up that are along the lines of going to a theatre and I might even book to see a play, who knows? I tend to leave things till last minute so least of all me right now ππ
Watch a load of festive movies
I went a bit over the top with this, whatever spare time I had in the lead up to Christmas was spent watching the Xmas TV channel. There was one film that I really enjoyed but I can’t remember it’s name, it was about this guy who’s son wished Christmas day would start over as it went wrong so the dad was forced to live through it on repeat until he got it right. PLEASE tell me the name if you know it! Twas very funny. It had your average plot but was an easy-going watch and I’m glad I caught it from beginning to end! πΏ
Paint the upstairs bathroom
Eh nope. I got the little tester paint pots but I don’t want to do it anymore ππ
Stay warm
I did and still am as the weather is a bit mad. It’s become more important than ever since discovering how much of an effect it all has on me health wise. I’ve made a huge effort to keep warm and have taken to wearing fluffy thermal socks when I sleep so that most nights are pain free π
Thank YOU for reading! π Considering I forgot about these goals I’m surprised with how well I did π Did you have anything you wanted to get done in Winter? (or whatever the finished season where you are is). Let me know in the comments below and I hope you have a super lovely day! β€οΈ
Lol. It was hard to stay warm in winter without falling asleep πβ€οΈ

Thank you! π Same, I also remember things I used to have and end up going on a search solely for them and end up making the mess worse in the process π¬ Thank you for reading! ππ

Wow, that was a great bucket list review (lol), if it was up to me I would probably have failed any bucket list I would have made during winter!! However, it seems like you kept up with it very well! good job! (also I have no idea what that movie is called but I would love to watch lol)

Thank you! β€οΈ Ah no, I’m sure that’s not true! Winter is definitely a tough time to get anything done π I’m surprised that I at least got some of it done but it was mostly fun stuff anyway. Ahhh I wish I could remember! Even though it was a festive movie I felt like I could watch it all year round πΏ Thank you for reading and taking the time to comment β¨
