Alive: an object based poem πŸ–ŠοΈπŸŒΌ

No one believes me

The pen is alive which is why it was free.

It’s fluffy tendrils reach out in various directions

They told me it’s just static, one of many reactions.

The flower on-top is nothing intriguing

It is missing it’s head which is probably why it is seething.

Gemstones, two of the same shade

I struggle to believe it was handmade.

One things for sure, it writes really well

Perhaps I’ve uncovered the reason why it did not sell.

Hi everyone! A while ago I decided to pick an object and write a poem about it. I chose a pen I was given for free with the little daily horoscope book I showed you here. The pen is a glittery purple with a fluffy bed at the top upon which sits a flower made of gemstones (it was free because the middle of the flower is missing!). I’m using it to write this down, this was a poem that I had completely forgotten about so it’s nice to read it again and remember the spaced out mindset I was in at the time thinking that a pen was alive and trying to communicate with me πŸ™ˆπŸ˜‚

Thank you for reading! Have you ever been given something for free because it has a fault but found that it still works for it’s intended use? Let me know in the comments below and have a lovely day ❀️
