Hi everyone! How are you doing? So far 2020 feels so fresh! I can’t explain it 🤔 perhaps you feel it too? ✨ I’m keeping busy which is motivating and in turn making me feel positive. This post sets the scene for what I hope the new year will be (+ much more) and I cannot wait to share it with you! I’m going to pin this entire list up on a board in my room so that I catch sight of it everyday (I feel like I should have done this last year but oh well 😂 onwards and upwards!). Right now my new years resolutions feel highly achievable so we’ll see how I do 👀:
Take my driving test or be in the position to take it by the time the year is over
In my 2019 resolutions my goal was to start driving lessons and now I’m aiming to complete them! 🤯 For now I’m going to keep taking lessons until I feel ready and try out different instructors as the one I have at the moment isn’t working for me but I reckon that this is achievable if I just stick with it (fingers crossed anyway 🤞).
Start a new course
I’m back at stage one not knowing what I want to do 🤦 I know I sounded so sure before about the route I had chosen but since then my heart just hasn’t felt in it. I’m not even sure if I want to do a course but that feels like the right road to take as it’s what I used to think I wanted to do. With my health not being good lately with more flare-ups of migraines it has made me rethink things and there aren’t many options that I haven’t tried already course wise in terms of part-time/full-time + all that is in-between. I won’t give in which is why I thought I’d still include this as a goal just incase it actually does happen.
Do LOADS of new things
I’m thinking of getting back into swimming 🏊 It left me feeling unwell last time I tried but I think that is because I didn’t keep it up, I’d like to think that if I do my body will become used to the activity. I would also love to visit parts of Ireland that I have never been to before, make memories and in turn meet new people (no offense to the people that I already know 😬😂).
Take care of myself
I want to do more than just the usual facemasks and stuff, I’m going to try my best to talk about things that upset me with family + friends and not bottle it up. I feel like I do this anyway but I want to be able to come back to this post at the end of the year and take notice of how it helps instead of just carrying on the way I am.
Keep up to date on current events
At the moment I am enjoying being more well versed on politics (particularly that of the UK) but I want to immerse myself further in this as I find it all very interesting and it’s nice being in the know about what is going on. It is not as easy to follow Irish politics compared to England for some reason (I think there is just not as much coverage) but I want to try anyway, especially with the oncoming election that I will be voting in 👍
Remember to do physio exercises
Long story short, when I’m well and able I keep forgetting 🙈😂 When I do get it done I can feel how beneficial it is from the offset so I definitely want this goal to be the main thing I achieve in 2020.
Keep my room clean (once it is actually tidied 🙈)
I’ve made a start on tidying my room and already it is helping to clear my mind. All the stuff I’m finding looks brand new because I haven’t seen it in so long 😂
Do more reviews on my blog
Stealing a goal from 2018 me here! There are loads of books and movies that I have read and watched lately and felt the urge to give my opinion on through a review (which I used to love to do) so I’ve made a start with an amazing movie and the first review of the year will be up very soon! 😄 I used to think that doing a review was the best way to get full use out of something but now I just want to talk about what I am liking and get a discussion going so cheers to that! 💫
Thank you so much for reading! 😉 Are you setting yourself any new years resolutions? What on Earth are they? 😯 Let me know and have a brilliant day ❤️
