My Summer Bucket List Revisited 2019!

Hi everyone! 🌹 It’s that time of the season (what song is that? 😡 I’ll never know, I sing it either way πŸ˜‚). Today I’m revisiting my summer Bucket List! I was trying to figure out when Summer ends, some people say it’s the beginning of September and Google says it’s the end so I’m rounding it up now in-between. I have some pretty good goals ready for Autumn and I want to start working towards them and draw a line beneath this lot so let’s get to it!

Wake up earlier

Around the beginning of the season I had pharyngitis so on the nights I did sleep I woke up the next morning very early in pain (be careful what you wish for! I should have clarified that I wanted to wake up earlier pain free! It’s amazing how the world works πŸ˜‚).

Give away stuff I don’t need

Nearing the end of Summer I got this done! πŸ˜… I got back from my holiday to a room that was still packed with stuff I didn’t want and decided enough was enough and just brought it all over to a charity shop.

Keep up my driving lessons

I did 3 lessons in total up until the time when I started on new migraine medication that I can’t drive whilst taking πŸ™„ I’m in-between minds right now as to whether or not I should stop taking the tablets as I’m not sure they’re working anyway, I’m weaning off of them anyway and might end up staying on a low dose until I make the decision. I really want to drive though no matter how nervous it makes me so I might just end up stopping them.

Enter a writing competition

I did and I’d completely forgotten that I had until this moment! (Thank you past self! πŸ˜‚).

Take more trips to the beach

It wasn’t to be! We were doing other things and this didn’t seem to pop into our minds πŸ™ (well not mine anyway, I can’t speak for everyone! πŸ˜‚). I don’t overly mind though as it didn’t stop me from enjoying the season!

Do something new

I went to my first ever festival (which I wrote about here) + I traveled to counties that I’d never been to before within Ireland. I also took trips on buses (aside from school trips and a certain amount of times in England I’ve never chosen to go anywhere in Ireland on a bus before so this was BIG for me πŸ˜‚) with my sister and we traveled out together (the bus had free WiFi which is an added bonus too! πŸ˜‚).

It probably sounds silly but each time felt like a little adventure not having to rush around the shops thinking that someone was parked outside waiting for us, we could just take our time which was nice and I can’t wait to do it again! (Although on the way back from England the bus couldn’t get on the boat on time because there were so many people on it and when it finally managed to make it happen the boat rushed back to Ireland to keep to schedule and it wasn’t a very nice trip over 😷 but I’m trying not to let it ruin my idea of going on buses! πŸ™ŒπŸ˜‚).

Thank you for reading you lovely lot! πŸ˜„ Did you have any Summer goals? (Or whatever season it was for you, I forget it can be different in other places! πŸ˜‚) How did they go? Let me know and have a brilliant day! ❀️

  1. I’m happy you did so many things in the Summer. I can imagine how hard driving must be. I would get anxious too. You are not alone πŸ’— Do what feels good to you. Maybe the instructor doesn’t fit or it isn’t the right timing to learn. You will get there xxxx

    1. Thank you!! πŸ€— I think I’m going to stop taking the tablet and I need an instructor who is more understanding of what I’m going through + lets me take my time as I don’t care how many lessons I have to take to get me to that point as long as I get there one day, I don’t want to rush to it like they think everyone wants to. Thank you lovely ❀️xx
