August Favourite’s 2019

Hi everyone! (Spell check just said “hi Eric!”…..who the hell is he? 😵😂). How are you today? I hope you’re well and ready for a VERY long post (I tried to shorten it by process of elimination but that didn’t work very well once I realized there’s not much I want to leave out 🤷😂).

The last half of August bought along loads of favourite’s as I was away in England (and don’t want to do a separate haul post instead 😏😂) so I’ve decided to group together a lot of the things I have chosen to appear today underneath various headings and that way it is easier to talk about each of them too! I hope you enjoy this and be sure to let me know if you like anything aswell! 💖

The Indiependence Festival Cork

At the beginning of the month I traveled to Cork with a friend for my first ever festival! We stayed overnight in an apartment and I got to meet all of her friends too which was lovely. We went for the first day of the festival and as well as a load of other acts we got to see Lewis Capaldi and Bastille! (Who you guys know I love with a passion 😂). A lot happened and it feels surreal looking back on it now and I’m glad that I didn’t let my nerves hold me back and I just went for it! The next morning before we left for home we went around the shops and had a lot of fun too so it was a good time all round despite a flare-up taking place in the midst of it!

Products

Garnier Ultimate Blends Hair Food + Skinactive Charcoal

I’m very annoyed that I paid €8.99 for the pot of hair food in Boots after it’s now €4 in Tesco but it’s too late to get a refund now as I’ve used so much of it! 😂 It can be used in 3 different ways: as a mask, a conditioner or as a leave in.

The charcoal also by Garnier also has different uses but I just apply it to spots and they soon disappear! I bought it after borrowing my sister’s one a few times as it’s so effective.

Cadbury Dairy Milk Simply the Zest

I always know I’m gonna love any orange chocolate but this one invented by Neetah Shah for Cadbury is just the stuff of dreams 😍 I planned on having half and going back for the rest later and before I knew it all of it was gone 🙈😂 I voted for it to stay in stores so hopefully it wins!

Yesterday

I went to see this with my family in the cinema because my dad loves the Beatles and although I didn’t crazily enjoy it I did have a great evening out with my family seeing it so I’m throwing on the list 🙌😂

Going shopping in Kilkenny

On the 14th I went shopping in the Macdonagh Junction centre in Kikenny with my mum for the first time and came away with some good bits! (The majority of which happen to feature in this post 😂). For lunch I got the Mediterranean Bowl in O’Brien’s and it was sooo good. I left feeling refreshed because it was super healthy and I had the energy to go around a few more shops.

Books

When I started reading I Can’t Make This Up: Life Lessons by Kevin Hart I didn’t expect it to be so good! I have taken to saving it until before I go to sleep as I don’t want to rush through it. I heard that Aisling from Oh My God, What A Complete Aisling is the Irish Bridget Jones and that intrigued me to read it and so far it’s a very funny and relatable book. The Hundred Year Old Man Who Climbed Out Of The Window And Disappeared was an impulse buy and I’m so happy that I got it as it is very easy-going and I can’t wait to see where it goes!

There are some more books I purchased in the month but I haven’t read them yet so I’ll leave them out until I do!

New Planner! 🌙

I wanted to get a new planner for next year (it doesn’t hurt to be prepared! 😂) and I came across this bee print one that has the rest of this year as well as all of 2020! 🐝

Pastel highlighters

I couldn’t decide which pack to get when in ASDA so I just threw them both in the basket (why was I being so indecisive over a pound anyway!? 😂). These are going to go towards my bullet journal which is a work in progress at the moment 🙄

Clothes

Everything in the first two pictures was purchased in Kilkenny and all for brilliant prices (the two bright bodice tops were €3 each in H&M, also from H&M the mustard jumper was €2, the paisley top was €7 I think and the white bodice top was €2 in Tkmaxx!). Everything in the third photo was from various Tk maxx’s in England and I got the blue cardigan in the last picture in Penney’s.

I also found a see through bum-bag for the Ariana Grande concert coming up which I won’t show a photo of as it doesn’t really come out well seeing as it’s see-through 🤷😂 (my sister was supposed to be meeting her the second night but since Ariana Grande cancelled all of the meet & greets + pre show parties our original add on is now the solo plan where our mum and the two of us are going on the third night!). You aren’t allowed in with a normal bag so I’m glad I found the see through one which we’ll all try to fit our stuff in on the night 😂

Holiday in England

I had such a lovely week over in England and wrote a bit about it here! I still can’t believe how fast the time went over there 😵 I had a two do list that I had to complete before I left and I remember saying to myself that it would soon be over and I’d be back home looking at the list and now here we are 😢 Nonetheless it’s better to have been and miss it than to have never gone there at all! 💫

Magical storage boxes 🌟

I got these in HomeSense and I didn’t even worry about how I would get them in my suitcase I just went for it knowing that I’d regret it if I left them behind 😅 (Luckily they fitted but my suitcase was HEAVY 😂). I can’t wait to arrange them in my room with trinkets 😆

4 Luxe Paper blocks 😍

I was so happy to have found these in the Range! These paper blocks are full of unique backdrops I can use for blog photos as well as cute stickers!! I will be testing them out very soon 👀

Paperchase envelopes ✨

I have a plan up my sleeve and when I saw these I knew that they’d fit in well with it. I won’t let the cat out of the bag yet (poor thing 🐈😂) as I’m still thinking through how I’ll make it work but it’s safe to say that aside from the ideas in my head, this is the first material item that is going towards it and it’s VERY exciting!

  2. Aaaah such lovely favourites like always! 😍 I also want to go to the concert of Ariana but unfortunately I was in Spain when she was here in Holland. I’m happy that you had a great time in UK. That food looks delicious 😋😍 I also want to read the book about the old man and there’s also a movie about it. I love all the things you bought especially the paper blocks and envelopes. As I’m penpalling I’m always looking for cute stationery and writing paper is difficult to find in the shops here. Is that writing paper in the paper blocks? Also the magical storage boxes look so magical and inspiring ✨ love it!!

    1. Thank you!! 😄 That’s a shame. I didn’t know there was a movie of it! 😯 Will have to go looking for it after I’ve finished reading it. The paper block has samples of different designs on card-like paper so I’m going to use them as photo backdrops, I’ve never seen anything like them before so I’m glad I grabbed them 😂 Thank you!! ♥️Xx

    1. Thank you! 😄 He was brilliant! Had some annoying people trying to block my view of the stage but got to see the majority of it 😂 Thanks, the planner is from HomeSense! I got my mum a different planner too but I think she likes the look of my one more 😂 Thank you!! I go in and out of stages where I wish I still lived in England and I do hope to move back one day if only to be closer to family (+ go to all the good shops of course 😂).       1. I hate those annoying people that do that 😂 I definitely need to go to homesense soon then! I think that’s what happens you will always want to move back but also stay where you are! Need one house in each place to go between the two 😂😂 💚

  5. I want to try the limited edition Cadbury bars; the orange one and the strawberry shortcake. You have made me want chocolate now when I have already had loads of Jaffa cakes!
    I loved Yesterday, it was quite thought provoking to think if Beatles had not happened then John Lennon night still be alive.

    1. I recommend the orange one its so good! 😋 I still need to try the strawberry shortcake one. My sister had the choca-latte one and she liked that but as much as I like the taste of coffee it’s not good for my migraines so I had to pass 😂 haha you can never have too much chocolate! Yeah, it’s so strange. I think my dad was pleased to see that turn on it in the movie. Thank you for reading! 😊💖

      1. My local shop only had plain dairy milk so eaten a whole bar. I’m not keen on coffee so do not fancy trying that one as much as the strawberry and orange one. The blubber round my middle suggests there is such thing as too much chocolate lol
