Hi everyone! How are you? ❤️ I’ll start this post off with something I’ve been saying all day…IT’S SO WARM. Forgive me if this post is the equivalent to a page of indecipherable scribbles in an old notebook 😂 Isn’t it strange to think that the last time we were in a month beginning with the letter J it was January? Not including June as I thought of this whilst we were still in the midst of it (I think of these things so you don’t have to 😂). It makes me think of all that has happened in that block of time 💫 Anywho!
My June Favourite’s won’t speak for themselves (it would be brilliant if they could) so I’mma do it for them, it was the month of someone’s first time at the beach, a fantastic concert and being invited to an amazing event, here are my june favourites:
Wire storage tray with rose gold handles
This is for my lotions and potions 😂 Initially I was on the lookout for a rattan basket to put my socks in and slide into my wardrobe but the plan changed when I found this wire basket for €10! I love it and I get the feeling that I will be forever emptying it out and refilling it 😂
United colors of Benetton t-shirt
My sister got me this t-shirt and I really like how motivational it is! 💫
Toby’s first day out at the beach
You guys know Toby right? 🐶 He had his own post HERE and is going around like a superstar now 😂 Well he had his first trip to the beach last month and loved every minute of it! At one point he was down by the ocean and the tide came in and because his little arms are so short he couldn’t run fast enough to beat the water and it was hilarious watching his reaction. I brought my instax camera with me to capture the moment and I think the photos above sum up the day perfectly.
At the beginning of the month I made a playlist on YouTube of rain sounds as I thought they would help me get to sleep. It took me a couple hours into the night (or should I say morning) to realize that it wasn’t for me but whilst the sounds were playing I had such a clear head and unlike other times recently I could think clearly and I just generally felt more in the moment so I thought I would include them on this list! My favourite is the sound of rain on a car HERE as it seems so real! 🌧️
My new hairdo
I have a fringe!! Or as it is more widely known, BANGS 💣😂 Surprisingly it doesn’t curl up as it was cut a little bit longer so that it would dry at the length I wanted it to be and I’m very happy with it! I won’t share a picture but you know that feeling you get with a new haircut? I feel like I can do anything (within reason 😂).
Calcot Manor: little box of bath salts
At the beginning of the month I had a relaxing bath with these salts which were a gift from a friend 🛀
Secret Life of pets 2
Don’t ask me what the plot was but I still really enjoyed this movie! My friend and I went to see it and it was very funny and I’d definitely see it again!
Bastilles new album “Doom Days”
I think if you’re also a fan of Bastille you will fully understand when I say FINALLY! I feel so happy to have Doom Days in my possession and I love all of the songs that I hadn’t previously heard yet, my favourite being Another Place.
Fleetwood Mac concert
On Thursday the 13th of June my sister and I went to see Fleetwood Mac at the RDS in Dublin! This was my early birthday gift to her and she was super excited about it. Their support act was The Pretenders whom got Shane MacGowan up on the stage to sing “I’ve Got You Babe” and it was such a fantastic start to the evening that only got better when Fleetwood Mac came onto the stage themselves! Earlier on whilst on our journey there we got to be on the radio and talk about it too which was INCREDIBLE and a nice moment to have whilst we were lost as Vodafone was down and so Google maps wouldn’t work to get us there (you can imagine how happy we were once we were in our seats 😂). It was truly amazing and when “Everywhere” was played it felt magical ✨
Fifi’s Fashion event
On the very last day of the month I went to the #NewButLooksBetterOnYou sustainable fashion event and this being my second ever event it was not only a great experience but good fun too!! It was held at Crow Street on Temple Bar in Dublin by @Fifisfoodblogdublin and @Theglitter_bugs to fight fast fashion and featured clothes for sale that had only been worn once or twice/still had the tag on or removed it without knowing it wouldn’t be worn in order to make sure great clothes didn’t go to waste! My sister and I came away with a lot of fantastic stuff and had a brilliant time enjoying ourselves with the raffle, tapas, cupcakes and prosecco. I cannot wait for the next one!! I came away with a jumpsuit, a t-shirt (that I’m planning on wearing to a festival next month), a pink dungaree dress and a bodysuit and my sister got LOADS of bags 😂
Get set infusion tea
I like a good warming cup of tea and this one from Tesco is no exception! I actually wasted the first bag as I forgot about the cup and then when I heated it it didn’t taste of anything but my second cup was much nicer and I have thoroughly enjoyed relaxing back with a mug of it in the evenings! 🤗☕
New chest of drawers
I’ve been on the lookout for a new chest of drawers for years and I finally got my hands on one! My old one had four drawers (minus 1 that had fallen through) so I’m excited to now be the proud owner of 6 drawers and it didn’t take long to fill them with stuff that’s been piling up on my desk 🙈😂
Thank you for reading! 😊 What were your favourite’s throughout the month? Let me know and have a lovely day! 💖
