May Favourite’s 2019 πŸŒ±

Hi everyone! Another month is over and it’s time for my favourite type of post that just so happens to feature favourite’s (there’s a lot of favouritism going on here πŸ˜‚). Only when I write these posts do I reflect on how fast the year is going by (it’s crazy!), we should rightfully still be in 2018 πŸ˜‚

Recently I’ve been looking back on past posts to this series and I can tell I will do the same with this one in the future as it is packed full of wonderful memories! Here are my May favourites:

All the movies I watched πŸ“½οΈ

My favourite being Rocketman! We went to the cinema as a family to see this in the last week of May and it was amazing (I’m thinking of writing a review on it!). Wreck-it Ralph is a close second followed by (in no particular order) the Lego movie 2:the second part, The Grinch (it’s the perfect time of year to watch festive movies I think πŸ˜‚), Mary Poppins Returns and Isn’t it Romantic (which was hilarious, I could watch that over and over again).

PawPaw balm

I’ve been meaning to pick up a new lip balm as I’ve lost my go to one so when I saw this and read that it can also be used on eyebrows, cuticles, elbows and skin in general I couldn’t put it back or else I knew I’d regret it and end up going back for it sooner or later πŸ˜‚ For me, the effects of it on my sore lips don’t last long but for the short time that it does it is really good so I had to add it to this list!

Before I go to sleep by SJ Watson

My sister got me to read this as she really enjoyed it and although I saw some things coming because of how excited she was when she read it (telling me what was going on πŸ˜‚) I still LOVED it and I can’t get it out of my head and am forever questioning what it would be like to wake up not knowing where you are and most of who you are as well. I wish I could go back to the beginning and get fully immersed in it again as I really enjoyed getting into the plot every evening and it’s not everyday a book as good as this prances into your life πŸ˜‚.

Lunch at the Bell Pepper restaurant

On the 21st I went to a Thai restaurant called The Bell Pepper with my sister and her friend. We were planning on going to our usual haunt that I’ve written about in the past (HERE on a day in my life & HERE in a past favourites on a separate occasion) but it was closed so we decided to try something new. I got potato cakes as a starter + the salt and chilli chicken as a main and it was all very delicious! πŸ˜‹

OhK! Gold foil sheet mask

This face mask not only was gold (let me hold onto believing it’s real gold please πŸ˜‚) but it also contained apple extract, wild cherry extract and chamomilla flower extract so as you can imagine it smelt GOOD. Is it bad that I loved how refreshing it left my skin feeling so much that I put it in a ziploc bag to use again? because I did πŸ™ˆπŸ˜‚

The Spice Girls concert!!

On the 24th my sister and I traveled up to Croke Park in Dublin to see the Spice Girls first performance of their tour! Jess Glynne was their support act and I preferred seeing her this time in an outside arena than I did last time (but then again I enjoy anything that happens in Croke Park music wise πŸ˜‚) as the atmosphere was magical and her voice echoed. Apparently the sound was really bad throughout the Spice Girls performance but I for one really enjoyed it and could hear it all (I think that is because I was sat in the stand at the back and we must have been fairly close to the speakers). It was an evening I will remember for the rest of my life and I still can’t believe it happened! (Therefore I should be given the chance to relive it again just to be sure πŸ˜‚).

Freesia and lime reed diffuser

I have had the same reed diffuser sat in my room since Autumn 2017 (the only way I remember that is because it is Autumn leaves scented and featured on a past favourites post HERE πŸ˜‚) and strangely enough it’s still not empty 😲 I finally decided it was time to do away with the old and make way for the new and this freesia and lime diffuser from the set I got for Christmas back in 2017 (how do I make things last this long πŸ˜‚) is now in it’s place! Whenever I go into my bedroom you can smell the fragrance straight away and it’s so nice + summery! 🌼

Ol’ Brown Eyes Is Back poetry book

I was given the opportunity to review this collection of poetry and you can read my thoughts on it HERE! ✨

New slippers ☁️

I needed a new pair of slippers as mine had a right mouth on them so I got this cloud print pair from Penney’s! They remind me of the Simpsons so needless to say, I love them πŸ˜‚

“Glamorous” cheetah bag

Isn’t this bag beautiful! (Don’t worry guys it’s not real πŸ˜‚). I got it in Tk Maxx on sale for €8! There were two other ones hanging up for €19.99 so I was trying to figure out why this was so cheap and then my sister found it on Asos and it is supposed to have a black tassel on it with the brand name but luckily enough I don’t like how that looks so needless to say I am very happy with both it and the bargain that it is!

The Vamps concert!

On the 29th I went to see the Vamps in the 3arena! They had four support acts but I can only remember the names of the two that we were told were going to come on originally (my memory is nothing like it used to be πŸ˜‚) which were HRVY and New Hope Club! I spent the first half living in fear because whenever the girl sat behind me clapped she would lean forward and hit my head but she sat back when the Vamps came on and I really enjoyed hearing their music live! It was a very fun night πŸ˜ƒ

Yellow man Honeycomb ice cream

This photo is more of my hand than the ice cream tbh πŸ˜‚ It was GORGEOUS (or at least it was while it lasted) and was full of crunchy pieces of honeycomb and hidden in between the layers of ice cream we’re golden swirls of gooey caramel πŸ˜‹

Novaclear Atopis hydro-control cream for face and body

This is so soothing and really does help prevent dry skin so I’m glad I ignored my indecisive mind and went ahead with getting it. I’ve tried hemp oil before for my migraine flare-ups and so I was expecting a real powerful smell off of this product but it is actually fragrance free!

Pink bodysuit

When I saw this jumpsuit in Penney’s the attraction was instantaneous πŸ˜‚ I know I’m going to be wearing it a lot this summer β˜€οΈ

“Adventure awaits” notebook by Rae Dunn

I couldn’t leave this off my list! The lines on the pages of this notebook are kind of squiggly and I can’t wait to write in it! (This time next year it will probably still be empty but a girl can dream that she won’t ruin a notebook by writing in it can’t she!? It’s just when it actually comes to it that I know I will ruin it πŸ˜‚).

Croll and Denecke Konjac sponge

I’ve wanted one of these Konjac sponges for a while now and I finally got one! I use this charcoal one every morning and it is so refreshing and has incorporated something completely different into my skincare routine.

Thank you for reading! πŸ˜‰ What were your favourites throughout May? I’d love to know! Have a great day guys! πŸ’–
