My top 10 self-care rituals!

Hi everyone! How are you? ❤️ Today I will be sharing a list of my top 10 self-care rituals which I’ve tried to make into a habit so that they happen more often. A lot of the time I feel like doing stuff for myself is a waste of time but I’m working on changing that mindset because I know it’s not a very healthy outlook to have. I have done similar posts to this detailing my favourite things to do to relax and my Winter self-care rituals and would love if you could check them out, especially if you can relate to finding it difficult to do stuff for you. Here are my top 10 self-care rituals! (I’ve tried to make them a bit different from the last ones!).

Flicking through a magazine or two with a mug of tea 📖

If I’m lucky I get blog inspiration this way! I find reading magazines very therapeutic and love it when there’s a motivational section that teaches me something new or one showing the latest products in certain stores!

Watching home renovation programs 📺

Or whatever you prefer! (To contradict myself I am actually addicted to various detective/crime series at the moment! 😂 My favourite being Doctor Foster). I love seeing a run down property become something completely different and full of life again ready for a new owner 😍

Lighting a scented candle and filling my blogging notebook with scribbles 🕯️

Recently I’ve been in a bit of a blogging rut and the ideas don’t seem to be flowing as easily but I find that when I cater to my senses such as smelling a scent that can immediatley bring on inspiration (I don’t know why though 🤔 Maybe it tricks my brain into thinking I want to focus on something else so it gives the goods on a whole other topic but I’m prepared with my notebook at hand! 😂).

Going through old concert/event tickets and trying my hardest to remember each moment in detail ✨

I keep all of my ticket stubs and random stuff that will bring back a full on memory in a storage box and I love to take it out from time to time and go through everything.

Pulling out an adult colouring book and making it look unrecognizable 🖍️

I’ve had to come to terms with the fact that I’m going to draw out of the lines more than once and if anything it makes a drawing unique I suppose! 😂

A simple spritz of my favourite perfume 🥀

My favourite fragrance is Baby rose Jeans by Versace (I’ve had this one bottle for years after my aunt used to get them for my sister and I). For a long time I’ve thought of it as my signature scent but only because I haven’t really tried anything else so I’m hoping I’ll pick something different up soon!

Playing a good mystery game from the app store 🕵️

I used to love playing these on my dad’s computer and there are a lot of happy memories surrounding them so when I discovered them in app form it was an effort not to download them all at once (My poor data couldn’t handle it! 😂).

Getting lost in a good book 📚

I love finding a story that draws me in so much that I forget where I am (and sometimes who I am as well which is a bit dangerous haha 😂).

Chatting with family and friends 💕

This always keeps my spirits up! Either having a meaningful chat or just a good laugh can really be the difference between what can be considered a good day and a bad one.

Listening to music 🎧

It depends on my mood what type of music I choose to listen to. Sometimes a happy song can help pull me out of a low time but the same can be said for a sad song.

Thank you for reading! 😉 What are your self-care rituals? Let me know, take care and have a beautiful day ❤️
