Hi everyone! How are things in your part of the world? (Provided you live on Earth and aren’t an alien in which case you’ve changed! ๐ฎ๐). I’m revisiting my Winter bucket list a lot earlier than I normally do because I’m ready for Spring so it’s gonna come a hell of a lot earlier just to suit my needs ๐ Winter is going on way too long for my liking and I cannot wait for it to not be so incredibly cold. I’m ready for all things Spring and if that means altering time itself then so be it! ๐
Another reason I am here doing this today is because I feel like these goals are out of date and I’m ready to start anew with some fresh ones so let’s get right to it!
Make a gingerbread house
Well this didn’t happen! I underestimated how many sweets circulate around the house at Christmas time leading to the fact that I didn’t feel like adding to it all after a day of stuffing my face ๐ Needless to say, I’ve kind of put myself off sweets and chocolate for a while now and 2019 has been started off surprisingly healthy save the odd treat (because treats make life what it is ๐ซ๐คท๐).
Read before I sleep ๐ด
This goal is still going strong! I love saving my book until I get into bed and feeling so tired that I am taken more in by the plot and become the character. Recently I’ve been drinking a herbal sleep tea that has chamomile in it so it’s an extra effort not to drop into bed at the end of the day with no intentions other than sleep though ๐
Go for walks โ๏ธ
I obviously said this back when it wasn’t like Iceland outside instead of Ireland because it is FREEZING! ๐ I’ve been walking around with my teeth chattering half the time! Going for walks has been the last thing on my mind unless I’m reminiscing like I was when I wrote what makes a good afternoon stroll ๐ญ
Watch a bucketload of Christmas movies ๐ฟ
From what I can remember after the hustle and bustle of the holidays I did watch some Christmas movies, I’m just not sure which ones ๐ค๐ The majority were ones that didn’t make it to be as famous as the likes of Elf and The Polar Express (which I adore!) and were just easygoing and full of the festive feels at the same time.
Get a new pair of pajamas for Christmas Eve!
Done and dusted! I’m so happy this happened on time as having a fresh pair of pajamas (which were the tartan pair that featured on my December favourites) really made for a special Christmas Eve cozying it up in some new threads! ๐
And there we go! Thank you for reading ๐ Did you set yourself any goals for Winter? How did you do? Is it cold where you are too? Let me know and have a lovely day โค๏ธ
Love to read this! ๐ I’m glad you achieved many of your goals. I also can’t wait for Spring and Summer time ๐ I also am reading but I’m a slow reader so it takes me so long to finish a book hahah ๐ I also prefer to walk with sunshine. It’s still cold here. I can’t wait to go to Spain where it’s already 17 degrees ๐ช๐ธ

Thank you so much! โค๏ธ At the moment I’m so tired when I get in bed all I want to do is sleep but I wish I could read at that point ๐ 17 degrees sounds like a dream right now ๐

It’s the perfect way to end the day ๐ I finished reading the book I found best for it the other night so I’m hoping on picking up more by the author (Sarah J Maas) soon! Thank you for reading lovely โค๏ธ

I recently just finished reading the Court of thorns and roses trilogy by Sarah J Maas and it was BRILLIANT. “Floored’ is also good and is written by seven different authors and told through seven fictional perspectives about their take on an event that took place and they all happened to share. That book really stays with you long after. Have you read the Fandom by Anna Day? It is amazing, about a group of friends who get teleported into their favorite book and have to find a way out โค๏ธ
