December Favourite’s 2018

Hi everyone! How is yourself? πŸ˜‚ Today I am going to be looking back on my highlights of December and try not to shed a tear at the thought of this being my last favourites post for the year 2018 😩 “How!?” I ask of you! I mean I’m more than happy to be in a new year to start afresh and all but the change of not writing “2018” on stuff anymore is just plain surreal. Now I’m not going all conspiratorial or anything but I’d say we were robbed of half of 2018 (and I know I’ve said that before…maybe because it’s TRUE! πŸ˜΅πŸ˜‚).

I’m losing the plot here! The main reason I am writing these words is to commemorate and share what happened in December (not to start a mob that shall ambush the CIA and kindly ask for all that lost time back πŸ’) and that is what I shall do (the former not the latter! πŸ˜‚). Here are my December favourites in the order that they arrived!

Jessie J concert 🎀

This was a fabulous start to the month (once we actually got inside as the waiting line in the rain was so long beforehand! πŸ˜‚) and was also our first visit to the National Stadium in Dublin. Jessie J put on a good show and her voice is even more amazing in person.

12 days of Xmas πŸŽ„

I still can’t believe I did this! You can find all of the posts for 12 days of Xmas HERE! I only managed to put it all together the first half of December and there was more than one point where I thought I couldn’t do it but now it’s complete and I’m so happy that I got to continue on from last year with it!

Beauty product calendar

I let this gorgeous thing on to my Instagram feed HERE because how could I not? When I started doing 12 days of Xmas I also started opening this calendar and it was a real treat that kept me going through the daily posts!

Acupuncture

I was recommended acupuncture for my migraines by someone who had noticed the difference in the extremity of their pain and although I was nervous about having needles put into me I went and the acupuncturist immediately put my mind at ease. I didn’t even feel the needles go in my legs because of my Raynaud’s as my feet are so cold due to poor blood circulation. I did feel one in my arm though but it wasn’t terrible. I have been out on two sets of herbal medicine tablets that have something to do with the liver and works with my reflux, Raynaud’s and migraines through the blood traveling through my body.

So far they are really effective and my days of pain/the extremeness of it has been reduced so watch this space! (It’s quite scary not feeling it as much as then it makes you wonder how easy it could have been to just help it after all these years alongside my other tablets and also I’m worried I won’t know what to do with myself without the pain as it is all I know but in the long run this is a good thing).

Superdrug foot purifying sock pack!

This charcoal foot mask had a blueberry fragrance that was so beautiful! I wish it could have been used more than once as it left my feet feeling super soft but then that would have been weird as you don’t use a facemask more than once so why double up on a foot one? I’m rambling πŸ˜‚

Drinking fudge by Fudge kitchen

I found this is Tkmaxx but I didn’t but it, I wished I had and days later I voiced it and my mum surprised me with it as she’d seen me staring goggle eyed at it πŸ˜‚ it’s a dairy free hot fudge drink and I put soya milk in it. The taste is too wonderful to explain and the soya milk works perfectly in making it creamy. All I can say is that I’m addicted but trying my hardest to save them as I can’t seem to find the exact same flavour to order online 😭

Jack o lantern bath bomb by bomb cosmetics

This turned the bath orange so I felt like I was laying in honey πŸ˜‚

The giveaway I won!

Yes I have actually won something for once in my life!! πŸ˜† I won a giveaway on Instagram held by my friend Christina and I just want to say a huge thank you to her again! She is the best and I feel so lucky to have her for a friend ❀️ I won chai tea, a cute planner, pens, a facemask, coconut body butter and chocolate.

Tartan pajamas

I wore these on Christmas Eve and they are so comfortable! πŸ€— I went through a faze where all I wore was tartan once and I think it’s coming back πŸ˜‚

Polly & the magic lamp pantomime

On the 23rd my sister and I set off to see a panto she had gotten me for my birthday (as I’ve always wanted to see one!) and it was called Polly & the magic lamp! We had an amazing time and really enjoyed ourselves there. We were sat very close to the stage so more than once confetti fell on us or bubbles and lastly balloons!

The panto featured Rory Cowan from Mrs Browns Boys who was hilarious and it all really got us into the festive spirit.

Tassimo Bailey’s hot chocolate πŸ˜‹

Now this is heavenly. It’s in a whole different league to my fudge hot drink above as they cannot be compared. Bailey’s hot chocolate for the Tassimo machine is non alcoholic and is very creamy.

All things Christmas including the big day itself!

EVERYTHING!! The tree, the food, the music, my cheeky non PG elf advent calendar πŸ’πŸ˜‚ We had a good one and I hope you did too! πŸ’š

Thank you for reading! πŸ˜‰ What we’re your December favourites? Let me know and have a lovely day! ❀️
