My Summer Bucket List Revisited! 🌻…πŸ‚ 2018

Hi everyone! How are you? ❀ Welcome to my last Summer themed post of the year! Fairwell to what I enjoyed more than I thought I would and hello to what I usually enjoy so hopefully will again! πŸ˜‚ Today I’m going to be revisiting my Summer Bucket list in all it’s former glory and it feels so strange to be looking back on it again! I know it gets said a lot but it truly only feels like yesterday I wrote that list and now after it not feeling like there was time to achieve anything I’m back to see how it all went, nerve-racking to say the very least! πŸ˜‚ Let’s see how I did shall we!?

Decorate the garden! 🌲

I refuse to take the credit for this one as my sister put up bird feeders, baths and two plants at the front of the house! 🐦 I bought a bench for the side of the house back in July (HERE) and go out there every now and then to sit down amongst the peaceful surroundings and also two pots of paint in preparation for painting the sidewalk going around our house! We also got a window steamer which is fun to use.

At the moment I’m scratching up the old paint with a wire brush going around the house as opposed to painting a layer on top that would easily chip away and things are really coming together! (A lot more has been done inside the house before family visited but I suppose that’s not part of this goal! πŸ™„πŸ˜‚).

Get into colouring! πŸ–

Only once did I have a go at this goal! πŸ˜‚ I reckon I would have kept at it if I had gotten one of those detailed adult colouring books like the goal implyed but I haven’t been in a place to pick one up yet so I’ll tell you what I’m going to do! I’m gonna hold onto this goal and make it an Autumn one on my next bucket list! (It’ll be mighty embarrassing if I fail at it again but then I can’t say I didn’t try!).

Finish my assignments! πŸ—’

Now here is something I really didn’t believe I could do but I have! My bookkeeping and accounts final test was completed on the 9th and sent of for correction on the 10th so please keep your fingers crossed for me!!

I’m at a crossroads right now as to what home course I should do next. I’m planning on sticking with diplomas as I don’t want to tie myself down for years on end to an online degree when my health might have improved the year after I sign up and I could well be able to go out and do a degree/other course. For a while now I’ve put myself down about Diplomas but I know that I would be more annoyed if I was doing nothing at all and not furthering my future career prospects for when I can get out there and do stuff.

My mind’s veering off into loads of different directions and online/distance course choices aren’t as scarce opportunity wise as I thought they were but there is still a lot of thought to put into what I want to do before I pay the prices. At the moment (well since the day before yesterday! πŸ˜‚) I’m doing a veterinary care practitioner diploma to keep me going before I make a drastic decision.

I want to get out and meet new people but I’m learning that I can’t have everything and that there must be a way around this as I’m not at the stage in my health I hoped I would be. I’m going to hold on to that goal and maybe start a hobby class once I’ve got another course under control. That would be the dream and I would feel somewhat normal again through my chronic pain and get to juggle mini things and have something of a well rounded life.

Get out and enjoy myself whenever possible! ✨

I really did! What with surprise concerts and the like I really enjoyed myself. I would even go as far as saying this was my best Summer (within memory anyway). With starting new migraine medication that has made me extra tired and pushes the worst of that particular pain forward to weekends and brings on other flare-ups I have been able to learn and track a lot about my illness’s and when I can and cannot do something, finally I’m pacing! πŸ˜‚

I also faced a few fears throughout summer! πŸ‘Š Many took place at the concerts (which were packed with people but they were nice people so it was okay πŸ˜‚) and others were just little things that were humongous to me like making important phone calls, going and paying for petrol being the awkward bean I am and delivering cakes for my mum’s business (which was a huge confidence boost as I felt sooo proffesh πŸ’ƒπŸ˜‚).

Buy merch! πŸ›

I got one of the Bastille sweaters and later wrote about it in the same monthly favourites I mentioned above! I won’t be carrying this goal forward but there are still a few things I have my watchful eye on online so we’ll see! πŸ‘€

And there we have it! Thank you so much for reading! πŸ˜‰ How did you do with your Summer Bucket list? Let me know, have a lovely day and take care! ❀
