Hi everyone! How are you? ❤ Today I’m coming at you with a book haul to quench your thirst! Book thirst can be the size of an ocean and I care about you way too much to at least try prevent the worst case scenario from taking place by providing a haul! 🌊😂
A lot of the following books were purchased on the same day whereas others were from different trips out. All were in my online basket but me being me and not wanting to buy anything online, I’d much rather go and hand money over than pay with my card (although at the same time it would be a dream to have books turn up in the post!), I went and purchased them in stores and shielded those bags like Gollum does with the ring for they are pure gold! 💍🤗😂 Let’s jump straight into this before you pass out from not getting what this post intends! (Jeeze Lucy calm down, they’ll be fine! 😐😂).
Floored by Sara Barnard, Holly Bourne, Tanya Byrne, Non Pratt, Melinda Salisbury, Lisa Williamson, Eleanor Wood
When I read the synopsis of this book I instantly added it to my TBR 📝 and it was the first I saw upon entering the store as well! 👀 I’ll be honest I’m a bit unsure about reading a book written by so many people and told from multiple perspectives but I’m willing to take the risk as I feel like I’ll come away from this one having learnt something valuable so fingers crossed that this will be true!
Love, Simon by Becky Albertalli
Okay I’m just going to say it, I thought Love, Simon and Simon vs the homosapiens were completely different books before purchasing the former of the two 🙈😂 I know it’s terrible but surely it isn’t the end of the world right? 😓 Anywho! I’m halfway through it already and really enjoying it (it’s my go to book before I sleep and is simply perfect for that downtime before I doze off 😴).
All of this is true by Lygia Day Penaflor
I hadn’t known this book existed before seeing it recommended and highlighted as eagerly anticipated on the Easons site and finding it intriguing so when I saw it I knew it would be coming home with me (on this particular trip I for once only bought what I really wanted and stuck to my budget which I’m glad I set or else I know I would have gotten stuff I’m not interested in! 📚).
One of us is lying by Karen M. McManus
I can’t help but sing ABBA whenever I read this cover 🎶😂 The plot sounds really interesting and I love a good mystery where at the beginning I’m wondering who’s the culprit (halfway through I’ve probably got it in the bag but I can have my fun until then! 😂).
Everything Everything by Nicola Yoon
I finally got Everything Everything!! At the beginning of last year I ended up getting The sun is also a star thinking it was Everything Everything (it’s becoming clear I have a problem knowing what book is what! 🤔😂) and I enjoyed it, tweeted Nicola Yoon and got a reply back 😆…all before returning to the original state of wanting Everything Everything 🙈😂 Well now I’ve gone and made that bookish dream come true! (I bet I go and lose the book now! 😂).
A court of wings and ruin + A court of mist and fury + A court of frost and starlight by Sarah J. Maas
After finishing A court of thorns and roses two months ago I knew it wouldn’t be long before I sought out the rest of the series! I bought the next two for buy one get one half price in Easons before later purchasing the 4th and final book with a lot of the others in this haul in another Easons (can you guess my usual stomping ground? 😂).
Holding by Graham Norton
I’ve been wanting to get my hands on this book for a while now because I love Graham Norton! He is hilarious and from a quick scan of the first few pages (well I thought I was being quick but my watch told me otherwise 😂) whilst in Tesco doing our evening ritual before my aunt and Nana left on their trip back to england my thoughts were verified in that his engaging personality would shine through each word. I want to read it now but I know that I need to stop jumping from book to book or else I’ll never finish any so I’m gonna test my will power and save it! 😂
Thank you for reading! 😉 I hope you enjoyed reading this haul as much as I enjoyed putting it together! Do you like any of these books? Let me know, take care and have a lovely day! ❤
