August Favourite’s 2018!

Hi everyone! How are you today? I hope you’re well ❤ Here we are again with another monthly favourites! 😵 August is over and I’m sat here feeling like it’s still to come 🙃😂 As much as it feels like Autumn went by quickly, I am excited to move on into September as not only is it the month in which Autumn starts 🍁 it also marks my sister’s 22nd birthday and a friend’s birthday too! (My sister is a friend of course but my other friends birthday is at the end of the month whereas my sisters is at the beginning! 😌😂🎁).

A good selection was gathered throughout the month that I’ve been itching to share with you (why do I always go for the weird phrases? 😂) so here we go before I ramble on about something completely different than the subject matter at hand! Brace yourselves guy’s, this goes on for a while!

Bridgewater Blogger piece 🖱

I’ve written about this as a future thing being asked of me and now it’s finally done! It feels strange to be able to send you over to the shopping center site that asked me to do a Summer piece for them HERE!! The post I did for them originally featured more items but they have removed them over time as they sell out I guess. I have a Autumn post going up with them soon (which I will fingers crossed get to share on my next monthly favourites) so keep and eye out for that! 😆👀

Costa cold drinks! 😛

The love is real and unfiltered! 😂…😐 I have tried the watermelon and coconut fruit cooler and on a separate occasion from this photo (which shows my mum’s Belgian chocolate frostino 🍫) I had a salted caramel crunch frostino! 😋 They are so refreshing and I think the next one I want to try is the strawberry frostino (although mint choc chip sounds a hella tempting!).

F&F grey casual top

No picture would do this top justice I tell you! I was at a crossroads as to whether or not I should have included it back in my July Favourite’s as it was purchased at the end of that month but I wore it more throughout August so it’s only right it’s here with us today! 😂 It hangs loosely like a short sleeved t-shirt and is so so comfy.

The League of Gentleman Live + T-shirt!

This was my first stint of the month up in the 3arena! My sister won the tickets (it’s now her 8th ticket competition won this year…yes I’m keeping count because it’s surreal! 😂). We both enjoyed the comedy show very much, it was hilarious and may have woken up a newly found fandom with us 😂 I managed to pick up merch beforehand so all in all we had a brilliant evening!

Agatha Christie magazine DVD collection!

My parents surprised me with this Agatha Christie bundle of magazines + DVDs and I am so happy with them! (…The stuff not my parents, yes my parents also make me happy but today we’re focusing on the stuff as opposed to them! 😐😂). The bearer of said gifts hadn’t even been aware of my daily binge watching of Miss Marple on the TV and had just known I’d love them! 😵 I’m not that predictable am I? 😯 Does it really matter if it gets me the goods? I think not 😂

Stuff from the smallest haul you ever did see! 🛍

The pencil case, the pocket planner and the food cat socks are all being put to good use I can assure you!

New carpet + slippers

It’s so nice getting out of bed and having my feet sink into my new carpet (as opposed to the cold hard floor 😂). It matches my room as a lot of the decor in there is silver alongside duck egg blue, claret red and a delicate pink 😍 These last few years I’ve only just come to appreciate my room as up until I was around 16 I shared a bunk bed with my sister, fun fact which isn’t really fun at all because it happened for all those years starting when we moved here because of health reasons and anxiousness about being on my own but I’m okay with that last part now and getting used to decorating my own space again!

I have needed a new pair of slippers for a while now so I grabbed these ones in Dunnes stores for €8 and they are so cosy! (The picture above looks like I have two left feet but my legs were crossed. I’m not saying I can dance and that I don’t have left feet in that way because I do, I’m a terrible dancer but no in a literal sense I don’t have two left feet (glad we cleared that one up! 😐😂).

Mamma Mia: Here we go again

I won’t go on and on about how much I love Abba because I’m not cruel and actually want to spare you the details but I will tell you that this movie was a must see and I was not disappointed! I feel like it really started halfway through (that’s not a spoiler just an opinion I hope! 😂). We went to see it in a different cinema than usual that has just reopened with a different company and it was nice to see the building being used again (the last time I had been there was to see Bratz the movie 11 years ago I think!… nostalgia makes me want to cry at times like these 😢😂).

More donuts! 🍩

These were different to last months batch which were from a donut bakery and costed a lot more for what you got. We bought these in the bakery part of Dunnes stores and they are a lot nicer than the actual donut place (who woulda thunk it!? 😂) and a whole lot cheaper at 6 for €4! (The others were 6 for €10 😬). Some of this lot were filled too! They were red velvet (with cream cheese in the middle that I ate around yet still enjoyed!), Oreo (with a cream biscuit crunch inside), chocolate and raspberry which was my absolute favourite. Quite frankly all these donut’s deserve their own post as I went to yet another bakery yesterday! 😏😂).

My new duvet!

AKA the backdrop for all the photos that needed it! 👏😂

Shed A Tear – Kodaline

All through the month I was going around singing this song to myself and it’s not everyday I can do that with a song as I always feel a bit awkward even on my own hearing my singing voice. Words cannot explain how much I love it! 😍

Glitz book 📕

To say that I enjoyed this book is a mighty understatement! I actually had to enlist my tips on how to make a good book last which is saying something as I never listen to myself! 😂 I’m thinking of doing a review on it as soon as I can find the words that give it the justice it deserves!

Being longlisted for the Blog Awards Ireland! 😆

This time last year HERE I signed up for the V by Very Blog Awards Ireland and made it to the long list. Remembering how happy that made me feel I thought I had nothing to lose in trying again and I made it through to this year’s long list as well!!! 😵 I entered in the lifestyle category and also the single post category (I chose How to cope with online hate as I think that is my only post that could majorly be of any help to a wider audience) and I got through with the single post entrant! 😱

I am still in shock about this and it gave me the kick of energy I thought it would! 😂 You never know what will happen! I might be writing to you very soon about it again (I’m trying not to voice my doubt as then it definitely won’t happen! 😂).

KitKat Ruby Bar!

This KitKat tasted peculiar but I thought I’d still add it to my favourites as it’s something different! My mum decided to comment that it tasted like cheesy feet…..like why!? I’d just started eating it and now there were images floating about in my mind, nice one! 👍😂

Beach towel

I have a slight confession to make….this towel was bought way back in June 🙈 but with family staying over at the moment I reckon it’s going to be used fairly soon down on the beach as that is where we plan to go! 🏖

A touch of frost DVD collection

I really like watching this so when I came across the complete collection for a tenner I didn’t even consider leaving them behind! 😂 I am a detective at heart wanting to solve the mystery alongside David Jason (borderline nosy but is that not part of the job description? 😂).

Bastille Wand! 😍

My parents surprised my sister and I with wands nearing the end of the month. They had them specially made for Christmas but thought they’d been diddled so gave them to us early (bet they wish they’d kept them back now because I am in LOVE with mine 😂). Incase you’re wondering my sister got a Labrinth one as she is a huge David Bowie fan ⚡

Britney Spears and Pitbull + t-shirt! 🎤

On the 20th of August we travelled to the Dublin 3arena to see Britney Spears and her supporting act Pitbull! It was amazing (aside from the lady who kept standing in front of us blocking our view…why buy a seated ticket on a slope if you’re only going to stand? I will never know! 😂 Britney was lipsyncing but we had known she would be doing this beforehand and had a great time regardless. It was a lot of fun and a moment I’m sure we will never forget! 💃😆

Thank you for reading! 😉 What were your August Favourite’s? Let me know and have a beautiful day!

    1. Thank you!! 😆 It’s so difficult to like your room for what it is and not want to change it but the middle ground has finally been found I think 😂 The oreo donut was the stuff of dreams! Thanks and same to you!! I hope yours is brilliant and puts your mind at rest about the change of starting college. They’ll be lucky to have you there, just remember that! ❤Xx
