February Favourite’s

Hi everyone! How are you? ❀ It’s the end of yet another 2018 month! (It’s crazy that I don’t find that crazy πŸ˜΅πŸ˜‚). Time has been going by at a nice steady pace which makes up for the weather being out of whack seasonally (something has to! πŸ˜‚) and although I’ll admit it does feel weird thinking we’re in the third month of the year already it doesn’t feel nearly as speedy as last year thank goodness!

The snow has built up around our house blocking the doors/bottom windows so we’re kind of trapped aside from a small pathway to take the dogs out πŸ˜“ it looks strange because the wind has pushed it to slope up like a wave and so the rest of the garden has level layers of snow and then a wall builds up around us. I can’t wait for it to melt but at the same time then we’ll most likely have a flood πŸ™ One good thing I can say is that we have our water back! The pipes were frozen before and so now we can have the heating on 😌 and not waste our bottled water/melt down snow (we were doing that for hot water bottles! πŸ˜‚). I’m praying for and hoping that all of the people not yet in homeless shelters and those in shelters already are safe ❀

In February I gathered a few more favourites than usual not even realizing it would be a shorter month with 28 days and so I don’t know how that came to be more eventful without the events πŸ€”πŸ˜‚ either way I can’t wait to share it all with you so here we go! There’s also some amazing news at the end of this post! πŸ˜„

Unicorn & Rainbow Pajamas

My mum got me these unicorn/rainbow pajamas and all I can say is that she knows me! I knew before that she knows me but when she gave me these pajamas it just solidified the fact in cement! πŸ˜‚ I didn’t even say out loud that I needed new pajamas as the trousers I rotate around are all worn in some way and what with warmer weather around the corner I was indecisive as to whether or not I should get something new as I have pajama shorts packed away ready for Spring/Summer and nothing long left and so I was incredibly grateful to receive these! (Especially when it started to snow! πŸ˜‚). They are colourful, cute and cozy! 3C’s (isn’t exactly a thing but I didn’t plan it before I said it so its a momentus occasion! πŸ˜‚).

Fake plant terrarium

This gorgeous fake plant was featured as a part of my Spring room decor! I am still just as hypnotized by it as I was when I first saw it 😍 It looks real and the pebbles scattered out underneath the plants remind me of the kind you find at the beach coated in brine. I wish it were as dry as this fake plant outside! πŸ˜‚

Owl soap on a rope

This beautiful soap was a birthday present from my friend that I shared with you HERE! I only just got around to using it after wanting to save it at first but then wanting to treat myself in the end! πŸ˜‚ I’m in love with it’s scent; vanilla brown sugar and it’s made out of Shea butter 😍

Trauma

This was a 3 part series that was on ITV early last month and I was hooked! It was about a teenage boy who was attacked one night and whether or not the doctor in charge of his care could have done more to save his life. The boys father becomes obsessed with the doctors ability to perform surgery correctly and sets out to confirm his suspicions going to disastrous levels in order to do so. It’s a very confusing tale and I was truly unsure as to who was at fault; was the father’s grief causing him to place blame unnecessarily or did the doctor use his power over the situation to his own advantage? I was upset with the ending which was a bit lackluster and it felt as though the build up was for nothing but I’m glad I watched it as it really got me thinking. Did you watch Trauma? What did you think of it?

“White Mountain” boots

I bought these in Tkmaxx as I have been wanting a shorter version of my pair of Doc Marten’s (that almost go up to my knees and live at the back of my wardrobe. I should use them especially in this weather! πŸ™ˆπŸ˜‚) but I reckon these were something of a bargain compared to what I would pay for another pair of those and I couldn’t bring myself to leave them behind! They were €27 and whilst I haven’t been able to get out due to both flare-ups and the snow I’ve spent some time thinking up ways I will style them in the coming months! Maybe I could do a post on the outfits laid out! πŸ€”πŸ˜„

Things from my break HERE!

Going bowling with my family (which I can’t wait to go do again and perfect my shot! πŸ˜‚πŸŽ³) and watching My Neighbor Totoro! I watched it again with my sister (being snowed in she didn’t really have a choice πŸ˜πŸ˜‚) and it was just as amazing the second time round!

Concert tickets! 🎀

When we were “having” coffee HERE the other day I told that I am going to a couple of concerts later this year! πŸ˜† (And hoping on a few that aren’t for sure yet). The tickets for the two that are definitely happening were brought at the beginning of February and so I couldn’t not include them as favourites! They are to see Noel Gallagher in May and Britney Spears in August whose support act is going to be Pitbull! I’m so excited as it was a difficult feat for my sister to book the Britney tickets what with the massive hype surrounding them when they went on sale and so I can’t wait for the night itself to come around, spend it with my mum and sister and make amazing memories! And guess what!?? My sister won tickets to see Queen and Adam Lambert this morning so we’re going to see them too!!!!! The prize includes a trip to a 5 star restaurant as well πŸ˜πŸ˜†πŸ˜ I’m in shock and this has just been added onto this post as an update last minute! πŸ˜‚ We saw Brian May when he came with Kerry Ellis a few years back but this is him in his element with Roger Taylor! I’m crying πŸ˜‚πŸ˜†

Thank you for reading! πŸ˜‰ Is there anything that stood out as a definite favourite in February for you? Let me know and have a lovely day! ❀
