12 days of Xmas: Day 5 – The Christmas Tag!

Hi everyone! On today’s day of Xmas I thought I’d share with you a tag that was fun to go through! 🎵 I was nominated to do The Christmas Tag by the lovely Yara from Little Diy Projects and I would like to thank her 😆💕 because I’ve been looking forward to answering her questions since I saw this as by the looks of them they will take me back to all the memories of past Christmas’s! 😆 (Well the ones that I can remember anyway as I’m a forgetful thing! 😂) Let’s get straight into it! 🎄

What’s your favourite thing about Christmas?

This is a cross between two things! 😏😂 One has to be giving presents to my family/friends! 🎁 especially to my mum as she never gets anything for herself and is always giving so I love imagining her reaction to gifts as I know she both deserves and appreciates them! My other favourite thing about Christmas is that my family stay together throughout the day as usually we each have other stuff to do and are busy but on this day we stay together and have a lovely time!…Well this is off to a good start, two answers in one! 🙈😂

What’s your favourite Christmas memory?

I can vaguely remember that one year my sister and I played festive music on Christmas Eve up in her room and just danced about the place like mad 😂 I’m squirming here trying to hold back on giving another double answer 😬… actually that memory can be the answer for the next question! 👍😂

Are there special traditions your family has for Christmas?

You know how every year there’s a channel that shows all of the Harry Potter movies? Well even though my sister has the box set we have always watched these on the lead up to Christmas and so when I see them I feel festive no matter what time of year it is 😂. I have another answer for this one now I think about it! Ever since we were little my aunt over in England sent over these letters with presents pretending to be Santa that my mum and dad would leave out on our door step 🎅 this was such a lovely surprise for my sister and I to find every year and really got us into the spirit of things as we truly believed it was Santa Claus leaving us the gifts on Christmas Eve! How come this was a full on tradition that went on for years yet I always forget it happened? 😂

What’s your Christmas wish? (can be personal or general)

I have a personal wish that I will keep to myself but my Christmas wish in general is for all the people who are struggling to get by/are homeless to be safe (and not only at this time of year). In short term for Christmas I wish that they be given the respect they deserve as well as warmth in this freezing cold weather ❤

What’s your favourite Christmas dish?

I’m not sure 🤔 Maybe a roast with nothing held back! 😂 I love Yorkshire puddings and so any meal with them in will do me fine! 😂

What’s your favourite Christmas decoration?

We have a star in the middle of our tree that my mum made my oldest sister George back on her first and only Christmas and that is put in the middle of our tree like it is the heart of it ❤ We also have a little see through globe that has a picture of our family dog Heidi who passed away in 2014 hanging on our tree.

What’s your favourite Christmas song?

My favourite Christmas song is Step into Christmas by Elton John! 🎵

Where do you usually celebrate Christmas?

At home in various rooms. My sister and I start of the day early on in one of our bedrooms with our stockings 😂 We then all go down to the kitchen and won’t go into the presents until we have had a good breakfast (the long wait used to annoy my sister and I so much! 😂) and then we’ll go in the sitting room and after that it’s all over the place as we split up so that dad can prepare dinner! 😋 We watch as many of the films that are on for the day as we can aswell…I couldn’t just say at home for this question could I? 🙈😂

What does Christmas spirit mean to you?

Christmas spirit to me is found in love in a variety of forms. The love I feel for family and friends that I spend time with leading up to the day/on the day and also the love that is shared with people who are not as fortunate to have the love I write of above. Whatever is enjoyed during Christmas for example food, games, movies and music would be nothing without the loved ones surrounding me, which includes you guys!

Who out of anybody in the world would you spend your Christmas with?

Of course my family! It wouldn’t be the same without them and I wouldn’t want for it to be any other way!
