November Favourite’s!

Hi everyone! How are we welcoming in the last month of the year already?! 2017 has been super speedy yet as it draws closer to the end I feel like time is accounted for somehow as my first Blogiversary is just around the corner! πŸ˜† (I started my blog and uploaded my very first post in the early hours of the 14th as I was awake having a movie night with my mum whilst my sister was out πŸ˜‚). I will be posting a Blogiversary post early on the 12th of December as I have something very special planned in order to celebrate starting on the 14th! πŸ˜‰ During November a couple of cosy themed things stood out as favourites for me and I have been looking forward to sharing them with you so here we go! πŸ€—β˜•

Christmas jumper

I picked up this Christmas jumper in tesco for around €20 and I am in love with it! It is simple yet festive and I’ve already worn it on my trip to Dublin and am planning on wearing it next time I go there as well as on a shopping day I’m going on with my friend. In fact I will probably live in this jumper throughout December, January and February as winter will go on forever here even if festivity doesn’t πŸ˜‚ Over here in Ireland, Winter is starting on the 21st of December even though some parts have snow already and it is freezing! ❄⛄

Bastille’s new song

“World gone mad” was released on my birthday and I am in awe of it! It brought me back to last year when Bastille came over to Ireland on my birthday and we went to see them the next day as that was the Dublin side of it. I like loads of bands but Bastille are the only band that I love πŸ™ˆπŸ˜‚ I became a fan of them back in 2012 but really in 2013 and I only remember that as it was around the time that they went to the Olympia theatre in Dublin and I was too late in getting tickets by the time I realized I loved their music as much as I do πŸ˜‚.

“Sing” the movie!

I think “Sing” is my new favourite animation after Zootropolis (although for me, Coraline still tops them both but they are completely different movies so that’s okay! πŸ˜‚). When it was on in the cinema my sister and I went to see it twice! πŸ™ˆ (Don’t worry it only costed €2.50 each, we weren’t exactly breaking the bank πŸ˜‚). It’s such a feel good film and not only is it hilarious but the music throughout is incredible (I have the soundtrack down on my Christmas wish list! πŸ™ˆπŸ˜‚ This is going to be more possible than before as a CD/DVD store has opened up where I live after all of the other branches closed down last year! πŸ˜„πŸ˜‚).

My birthday presents! πŸŽ‰πŸŽ

On the 9th of November it was my birthday and so I can’t not include the presents I received and am grateful for on my favourites! πŸ˜‚ HERE is a post I wrote about them!

Personal LED Light box

I have seen quiet a lot of these light boxes around in the blogging and YouTube community alike and thought they looked pretty but hadn’t planned on buying one myself as I thought they would be a bit pricey until I saw this one in Tkmaxx for €12.99 and thought I could arrange it in my room with mini positive/Christmassy quotes! 😍 It comes with 75 letters so there are duplicates, meaning I can put “Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells” in it! (Although each row fits 8 letters so I will have to make allowances! πŸ˜‚) It can be made to look so aesthetically pleasing especially surrounded by fairy lights and is a lovely sight to see either when I wake up each morning or lit up in the evenings!

Shirt from Vila

A Vila shop has opened up close to where I live and although I don’t think I’ve ever been in one prior to this one I love it! πŸ˜‚ It’s nice to see that the various towns in my area are going through a little economic growth and opening up new places as businesses begin to realize there are people who live in the lesser known areas that played a big part in the history of Ireland and so are a good source of tourism and should be recognized as being that (…the majority of this happiness is due to the fact that a bakery/cafe has opened too! I’ve been dreaming of the time I can go to a proper bakery and not just rely on the deli in tesco πŸ˜―πŸ˜‚). Anywho! I purchased this patterned shirt from Vila for €30 πŸ™ˆ (it was a treat! πŸ˜‚) and the material is so thick and warm. I am planning on wearing it throughout winter either under jumpers with the collar out (it’s that cold! πŸ˜‚), with a vest underneath buttoned or unbuttoned or just the way it is! I feel like in Spring/Summer if I wear this with maybe a vest I won’t need a jacket so it will be put to use through all kinds of weather!

Brooklyn by Colm Toibin

This is the book I told you about whilst I was staying at the cottage! It is set in a small town in Ireland (that I know! It’s nice to read about landmarks I’m familiar with for once πŸ˜‚ I can also remember when they closed down a street in the town to film part of the movie! πŸ˜‚). The main character, Eilis, is given the opportunity of going to work in Brooklyn! She takes it and we follow her story as she goes on a long journey, battling homesickness yet managing to stay strong until apparently something sends her back home again to her family (I haven’t got that far yet!). So far, it is a very enthralling read and inspiring in that Eilis is moving away from her comfort zone with every step she takes in Brooklyn!

Decorative Garland lights!

My mum got me these fairy lights the other day and they are so gorgeous! They came with batteries and although pictures don’t show it, they emit a rose gold light 😍 I made an animation of one of them twirling and showcasing disco ball snares of light everywhere! (However I’m not sure if WordPress supports that kind of media unless I download a GIF app but my phone has no space! Take my word for it, it’s beautiful! πŸ˜‚). They are quite heavy and clink together like bells πŸ”” and I can’t wait to hang them up in my room and also have them feature on this blog as the wire connecting them is kind of invisible and makes them look like lit paper lanterns and not fairy lights πŸ˜‚

Thank you for reading! πŸ˜‰πŸ’— Tomorrow we’re putting up our Christmas tree!!πŸŽ„ And I got a chocolate advent calendar just in time! βŒ›πŸ˜‚ Have you got anything planned to welcome in the first day of December? πŸ˜† Let me know (especially if it’s a form of blogmas because I will jump on your post I’m so excited! πŸ˜‚) and have a lovely day!
