My Love

Live in the now

my love

always looking so far

hopes will stay above

no need to run.

Live in the now

my love

don’t break yourself

feel material and take off that glove

invisible it may be, it restricts

Live in the now

my love

for where you are looking is non-existent

don’t mean to shatter those dreams

as unbelievable as it seems

the now might not last

and with this I hope

light has been cast.

Hi everyone! How are you today? I wrote this poem a while back and as since yesterday I have been having a painful flare up of migraines and fatigue I thought I would remind myself of it again and not be annoyed at my current situation.  As strange as it may sound I meant for the “my love” part to inforce self love. I’ve told you before about how I tend to look to the future way too much. It’s an easy thing to do when in the present moment I am unwell so the future holds that hope of healing. I have become better at living in the moment and although it may feel at times like I live in the moment too much and am kind of in a permanent state of mindfulness where I’m fascinated by such simple things πŸ™ˆπŸ˜‚ I would much rather it be this way whilst I slowly  work towards my future. Hope will always be a constant but in the meantime we are here and must live with what we have in the now. Treat yourself with respect and know that everything will work out fine in the end if you take in what you have to work with and listen to yourself like you would listen to others..and then some πŸ˜πŸ˜‚

Thank you for reading! πŸ˜‰πŸ’— Have a lovely day!

  1. That was such a lovely poem honestly, and I really liked that it was kind of an anthem for self love, I think that it’s so easy to forget that you can write beautiful things just for yourself ❀

    1. Thank you so much! πŸ˜„ Yes! It felt like writing a lullaby to myself and then I thought maybe others could relate and need to be told that it’s okay to love themselves. Hope you’re having a lovely day πŸ’—
