Garnier SkinActive Moisture Bomb Tissue Mask Review!!

Hi everyone! I hope you are having a lovely summer so far! Today I am going to do a review on the Garnier SkinActive Moisture Bomb Tissue Mask (what a name! πŸ˜ŒπŸ˜‚) that I tried out yesterday! (Don’t worry, this isn’t another My yesterday = today’s post πŸ˜‚). I bought it a couple of weeks ago in boots for €1.35 (I think that’s not bad for the brand!) and was waiting for the perfect moment to use it. Well yesterday was that perfect time as I felt unwell (my ribs/back have been really hurting so I am going to see the doctor later today) and wanted to treat myself to a pamper! (Not the nappy! πŸ™„πŸ˜‚).

This was the first time I have used a tissue mask as I usually stick to the Montagne Jeunesse 7th Heaven ones where the gel is kind of see through and is peeled off (hydrating but never really doing what it says it will πŸ˜‚). I like that instead of peel off, this mask being full of moisture encourages you to rub in any leftover residue (you can wipe it off like a normal mask but if there are any benefits to be found I’m not going to waste them! πŸ˜‚). It is a pomegranate mask and smells delicious (well it would be if it was edibleπŸ™„…πŸ™ˆπŸ˜‚).

Packaging: I don’t know why but I love looking at how a company visually chooses to sell a product. I got this mask with the benefits it would bring my skin in mind but the packaging is what intrigued me to pick it up in the first place. The design is how we can automatically tell if there is allot banking on the mask itself and the effort they put into it shows us how Garnier want us to see their brand. In one word..fresh! πŸ˜‚ I like how the pack is blue like water and the large bubble has pomegranate seeds bursting into it insinuating the fruit extract is contained but not taking up the entirety of the masks moisture content!

This mask is supposed to:

  • be super hydrating,
  • be revitalizing
  • reduce the look of fine lines
  • revive radiance
  • Make skin look smoother
  • Make skin look plumper
  • Contain 1 week of hydrating serum in 1 mask
  • Be suitable for sensitive skin

It looks like they’ve set the standards high for this mask so we’ll see if it works!

Experience!….πŸ˜‚

Opening the pack a couple drops of the liquid came out but not allot because the mask does an incredible job of holding in the valuable moisture it boasts and it was not floating in liquid! Always a good thing! πŸ˜‚. It comes folded up inside and it felt like how I would expect a jellyfish to feel as I unfolded it as instructed (incredibly wet!). It was slippery to hold, but the liquid (and scent of pomegranate) made it soothing. I placed it on my face (it had holes for eyes, nose and mouth) and pulled away the top layer (which I think was abit wasteful in that half the liquid went with it πŸ˜‚).

I then had to wait 15 minutes for it to (fingers crossed) work wonders πŸ˜‚. In this time I nearly inhaled the part that opens up for your nose as there were random bits of tissue there πŸ˜¬πŸ˜‚ but because it was wet I could smooth it out of the way πŸ‘. My first thought when I had the mask on was “I’m going to freak out anyone who comes in this room! πŸ˜¬πŸ˜‚…better still!” I went to scare my mum who sent me up to my sister who jumped at the sight of me πŸ˜‚ (my dad was in the bath so he got away lucky! πŸ˜‚)…I think one of my dogs hates me now too, he ran by me, grabbed his toy and I didn’t see him for a good hour! (That’s a record! He always wants us to throw something πŸ˜‚).

The mask made me think I was standing infront of a fan the whole 15 minutes πŸ˜‚ like a constant breeze! (Definetly a must in this weather!) And it did not slip off my face at all. I expected my skin to make the moisture in the mask completely disappear ,instead I pulled it off thinking the leftover tissue was going to waste as the liquid was still in it. My face was incredibly hydrated afterwards and it looked like a bucket of water had been thrown over me πŸ˜‚ but instead of wiping it off I left it and it had all absorbed into my skin after 10 minutes! Leaving my face looking brighter, feeling firmer and more awake. I would definitely recommend this product for not only want of facial nourishment but as a cooling down aid and/or relaxing treat!

Pro’s!

  • My skin feels more hydrated than before.
  • My skin is brighter and has a glow to it.
  • The breeze the mask gave was refreshing and relaxing! πŸ˜‚
  • The mask itself was cheap for €1.35.
  • My face feels tighter/firmer.
  • It did not burn my sensitive skin!

Con’s!

  • It was messy to get out of the pack as it is flimsy with the moisture.
  • I felt like some of the content was wiped off on my hands πŸ˜‚
  • The mask was oversized and I understand that is so it could fit everyone and it folded into place nicely on my face but the holes for the nose were abit dangerous.
  • The majority of the moisture was wasted as it stayed in the mask afterwards (maybe I could use it again πŸ€” I’ll do that actually! πŸ‘πŸ˜‚)

And that’s it! I hope you enjoyed reading my review of this face mask! Let me know in the comments if you have tried it or want to!

Thank you for reading! πŸ˜‰πŸ’— Have a great day!
